Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC was born from a unique reunion of legal minds and shared vision. In October 2020, Waldrep LLP and Wall Babcock LLP merged to create a premier business law firm defined by sophisticated solutions and individualized service. The firm represents businesses, healthcare organizations, financial institutions, and other clients nationwide in matters involving business bankruptcy, commercial litigation, healthcare law, corporate transactions, and restructuring.
The four named partners — Tom Waldrep, Jim Wall, John Babcock, and Dennis Bailey — share a remarkable history. Over 25 years ago, they practiced together as partners before going their separate ways to pursue different paths. John, Dennis, and Jim eventually formed Wall Babcock LLP, while Tom distinguished himself as a United States Bankruptcy Judge in the Middle District of North Carolina. His tenure on the bench provided unparalleled insight into complex Chapter 11 and commercial bankruptcy proceedings, now giving clients the benefit of a unique judicial perspective on insolvency and restructuring matters. After Tom left the bench and ultimately established his own practice, the four colleagues recognized the power of reuniting their complementary expertise under one roof.
Since our inception in 2020, Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey has experienced significant growth. In 2021, we moved to our “traditionally modern” office at 370 Knollwood Street in Winston-Salem, NC, creating space for continued expansion. The following year, we extended the firm’s reach across North Carolina by opening our Raleigh, NC office on Glenwood Avenue, near Crabtree Valley Mall — bringing the same level of sophisticated counsel to clients seeking guidance throughout the Triangle and well beyond.
Today, Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC stands as one of North Carolina’s leading commercial bankruptcy, litigation, and healthcare law firms, offering clients trusted guidance in corporate law, business insolvency, restructuring, litigation, healthcare employment, and healthcare regulatory matters.
